Problem opening a step file with solidworks

Hello

As part of a professional project I have to make a modification on a part of a mold.

So the company sent me a step point to modify some mold parts on solidwork. However, when I was making an extrusion function, I noticed that the software told me a problem: the software had not been able to offset one or more entities of the sketch.

So I guess that some points were shifted during the conversion of the file. However I can't fix it, even with the import diagnostic function.

Do you have an idea to help me?

Hello

Could you share this file with the sketch so we can take a look at it. Which version are you on?

Oh damn I'm under 2016.. Maybe one of the colleagues could take a look at it when he passes by.

I have it in step stitch otherwise

If you want to extrude your sketch 20, you will just have to uncheck merge your extrusion and it will work

You end up with several volume bodies (here 2) that you can combine into one with the FCTION combine

You end up with only 1 body and you can continue your W.

If I understood what you want to get?
