Miter cutting problem in welded construction

Hello

As you can see in the attached image, one of my profiles is shifting. I tried to change its point of origin, but nothing helps. However, before the adjustment, the profiles are well placed.

Did you have the problem and above all do you have the solution? ;-)

This is a known problem

when you have profiles with complex shapes

It's not that simple for the log

try to make your part in assembly rather

by cutting the angles yourself at 45°

Hello

Try it if it works better. Create a plane on the angle bisector and adjust the profiles on the plane

I also see that the profiles are created on a 3D sketch

It is possible that the profiles are not perfectly on the same level
they must then be aligned correctly

I agree with gt22.

Create your bars and limit them with paths at the desired angle. It's a little longer than the adjustment tool, but in this case it tracks much better.

Solution found

You have to choose the "right" point for the miter cutting plane in the fit/extend tool3.

I had already tried but without success.

Thank you all the same

And to end in beauty, another image.

For a safe result, draw a sketch point where the miter cut plane will pass and select that point in the Fit/Extend tool.

And that's tip top.

Have a nice day
