Throughput problem with CADWARE CSW

Hello Community,

I'm new to this forum and so I don't know if my question has already been asked. I made a mechanically welded table structure. When I launch CADWARE to get me the tube flow used, it tells me that Solidworks should be open to carry out this operation, while I am in the drawing (see attached image). I don't really understand what I have to do. I've been stuck on this for a few days.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Closing SolidWorks and reopening it doesn't change anything? You can also check in the task manager if there are any other instances of SolidWorks that have crashed.
And by putting themselves on the piece and not the plan?

I have followed your advice, but nothing changes. I checked the manager, everything seems normal. Thanks for the quick responses

Has the tool worked before or is it a new problem?

Do you have the option to launch this tool from the start menu or can you only go through SW?

Otherwise try to repair the installation or even reinstall

I can launch it from the start menu., but on this version, it's the first time I've used it and it refuses to work.

Must move on to MyCadTools !!!!!

I didn't quite understand, flegendre

Mycadtools.

It's the equivalent of CADWARE but with a competitor...

It works on any SolidWorks drawing table.
However, it is mandatory to:
- A Description column: To manage the profile type
- A Length column: for the calculation
- A Quantity column: also for the calculation (at the same time it seems logical).

In the screen printout, I see that there is no description column, does it come from there?

Otherwise, see the documentation here by logging in:

Or the video in the TOLERIE MECANO section:

Hello

The problem may be related to the incompatibility of your tools with the solidworks version.

Some add-ons do not detect the SolidWorks process if it is not in the correct version (SW2014 = V22. X.X.XXXX, SW2015 = V23. X.X.XXXX...).

The best thing to do would be to contact CADWARE to check if you are not in this case

Have a nice day

Hello

Thank you for your answer Fabrice_A.

I have just checked and effectively there is an incompatibility of the 2 softwares. I'm going to get the right version of it.
