Double Thickness Problem at Shell Mesh Intersections

Hello

I modeled on Solidworks 2012 an assembly from polygon geometries (zero thickness in modeling) in which many intersections or " T-zones " can be distinguished. (see attached image). When I go to simulation, I have to define a thickness for each mesh component in shells, so I define my reference surfaces as medians. The defined thickness must therefore be distributed on either side of my reference surface.

My question is : does this pose a problem at the level of intersections/T-zones, for which the thicknesses of the two parts will merge ? It doesn't seem to be a problem for the software to define matter 2 times in the same place but I wanted to make sure I didn't make any mistakes.

Thank you
