Projection Cutting Problem on Solidworks

Hi all

 

Here is my little problem:

 

When I make a cut with a straight line, no worries about the cross-sectional view. I just changed my line with an offset that goes through a hole lower. Problem, my cross-sectional vision is longer as if it were flat. How to modify to have a well-projected cut?

Hello, you need to make a simple cross-sectional view and not a flattened view: http://help.solidworks.com/2012/French/SolidWorks/sldworks/Aligned_Section_View.htm Try to reinsert your cup by deleting it.

What version is SolidWorks?

 

I ask the question because this module was redone on SW2013 so the answer will not be the same...

Attached is a screenshot with the red lines where I have my problem. I changed the cut line by adding a pass through the hole and then the projection is no longer good.

I'm on Solidworks 2013. How do I go from a flattened section view to a simple section view?

Put your vertical strokes in the construction line. SW only considers strong strokes for cuts!

Can we avoid deleting the current flattened view and make a simple cross-sectional view otherwise I have to re-dimension everything!!

Put your vertical strokes into construction strokes. SW cne considers that strong strokes for cutting.

 

EDIT: To edit, right-click on your crop mark and then "Edit sketch"

Click on the horizontal line that should not be part of the cut, and try:

"Insert, Change to Cut Line"
