Unit problem in drawing

Hello

Software used: SolidWorks 2017

When I make a drawing, the unit of dimensions is always in inches, whereas in 3D, the unit is always in millimeters.

How do I make sure that the unit is always in millimeters by default without having to change it every time?

Thank you for your answers

Kind regards

BOYER Kevin.

Hello

You have to create a model with the units set to the desired ones.

Hello, in addition, adjust your settings and save them at least if you have a problem you can always recharge them!

You simply need to modify your document template piece.
Every time you make File > New, Solidworks loads your part model, which in your case is set to CGS.

So you need to edit it, File>New> you change your units, and you save your part template, File >save as> you change the file type to: part templates *.prtdot, and you overwrite your initial template. That way you won't have this problem in the future.

Gunter687sang, I just did the manip and it seems to work, thank you very much and have a good day.

Hello

If it is in your drawings , you have to adjust your settings in the document options (drawing) and then save the document as a template (. DRWDOT) with the basemap (. SLDDRT).
