Frozen screen problem

Hello
Using SolidWorks, my screen freezes periodically, requiring a shutdown and restart to temporarily unblock it. This problem occurs when working with part or assembly files.

Well welcome to the community, hoping to help you solve your problem.
Indeed, I sometimes encounter this problem, and to remedy it I do exactly that, I stop and I restart. I don't know why, I have the SW2022SP4 version.
There you have it, I have no other solution to this problem. I think someone will find the solution for us.

I don't remember having encountered this problem (in general SW crashes rather than freezes :smiley: ).
At first glance, I am leaning towards various problems:

  • Drivers not compatible

  • Insufficient PC resources

  • Antivirus that acts up

  • A parameter in SW that crashes under certain conditions

If the crash is easy to reproduce, the easiest way is to start SW in safe mode so that it launches with a default setting.
If it doesn't freeze anymore, it's because it comes from there.
