Solidworks Case Function Problem

Hello

I'm following this tutorial to draw a kite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J461H0WWq28
I adapted a little according to my requirements and I get a classic 3D wing profile as in the picture: http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=731085AILE.jpg

But when I perform the Case function, I get an error message:

The hull operation failed. One of the faces must be offset in the adjacent face, a small face may have to be eliminated, or one of the faces may have a radius of curvature smaller than the thickness of the shell. Use Tools > Check to find the minimum radius of curvature of the appropriate faces. If possible, remove any small faces or edges that are unintentional.

I went to see in the help but it doesn't speak to me too much. I have to say that I'm pretty new to Solidworks. How to do it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @ hugolacaze

In general it's because you perform the shell function inside your room

and which of + is if you have sharp angles it won't pass (trailing edge)

so try to make a shell on the outside

or make your piece in surface and then you always thicken on the outside

it usually goes through more easily

Hello

If there is a problem, you have to test with small thicknesses and then climb slowly to see the limit. Because as gt22 says, acute angles are not great for the hull function.

Thank you for your answers. I tried with several layers of shell but it doesn't work, nor with a shell on the outside.

But I managed to do it by taking the sketch and doing a thin smoothing.
