I have a problem with opening a piece or creating a room, as soon as I make a new room the software crashes, it's the same for opening
of existing part and assembly if anyone knows the solution thank you in advance.
(Solidworks 2016 software)

Repair the software or update to SP3 if it has not already been done. But before you make a repair, consider making a backup of your settings.

At worst, you uninstall SW cleanly and reinstall it.

Ac cobra rightly,
First of all, if you have backgrounds, and configuration to save, do it.
Then, put your installation CD back, have the installation repaired and above all make sure that you don't have any other software open or running in the background Windows.
Good luck and if it works, don't forget to put a little "click" on "best answer" to Ac cobra 427 .

Hello everyone,
I found the solution to the problem exposed earlier, my pc is currently running Windows 10, so I tried the use Windows 8 compatibility settings feature and since then all of them have been working fine. I would like to thank all the people who participated in the forum for their responsiveness to answer and the answers they were able to provide on the problem.
