Hello
You have to click on the largest of your faces and use the insert folds function and the most you have to do is fill in your folding parameters and your part will unfold...
Otherwise you can create your sheet metal part and then use the folded sheet metal function and then you make a removal to give the shape or you can also edit the sketch of the folded sheet metal function and modify the sketch to have the desired shape.
Simply convert your part to sheet metal.
Choose a fixed face and click on the edge to create the fold automatically.
I did the methods but it doesn't work. its said that the folding is not on the same side?
thank you for your help
Maybe the hull function is the problem.
To get around the problem: keep your current part, (in the same file) create a sheet metal face based on the large face of your part, make a function to remove the body of the shell part, make a dropped edge.
Hello
Indeed, converting sheet metal is the easiest.
I don't understand why complex sheet metal a sheet metal a folded there is nothing simpler.
May the force be with you
I think that the hull operation is not necessary in this case. Just converting to sheet metal is enough.
