I've been using Solidworks for two days, I've created a library of H-iron profiles, etc., but when I call a profile, I have to redefine a length and therefore my library has to be modified systematically. How to deal with this problem. Thank you in advance
Hello
Your room in the library should be associated with a family table. You can then choose a length while having only one file
Here is a tutorial to create a family of rooms:

Hello
For the use of profiles, I recommend using the "Mechanically welded element" function in the Welded constructions tab.
With it, you only manage profiles in the library and no longer their length.
100% in agreement with @ frederic
For the profiles on the work in mechanical welding
only the sketch of the said profile is created

This is what you need to understand and perform the job in an optimal way
There are a lot of tutorials on the forum see tutorial tab
