Toothed profile with elice angle

Hi all

I'm new to the forum because I've just created my design office specializing in cutting and powder compaction tools.

I am trying to draw a tooth profile (modulus of 0.8) but with a helix angle.

I've already drawn tooth profiles in the past, I know that you have to draw an involute of a circle and then do repetitions.

Do you know if there is a function or tool for SolidWorks in which you enter all the information about the tooth profile and automatically output the correct geometry to me?

Thank you in advance for your help !

Hello

There isno such thing , but you could create a part manually and then make configurations that you can control via an Excel file that you will have to fill in and then it will create your part. You will need to create a formula that will define the number of teeth according to your Ø.

Hello

Why don't you look on 3D model sites like traceparts?

You can download any type of sprocket of different modules on these sites.

It depends on the accuracy of the path you are looking for.

I found these 2 links:
- http://bib.altitech.free.fr/ver_2-2.html ;
- In the toolbox, there would be something:
http://www.forum-cao-3d.fr/toolbox/engrenage-dans-le-menu-toolbox-t8647.html.

Otherwise, conventionally, it is a removal of material by volume scanning (to generate a tooth hollow), which is repeated.

Looking for "gears", on this forum: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/3d/dessiner-un-engrenage-droit-avec-solidworks

Hello

Out of curiosity I found this:

And I did it quickly, but it's not great, it needs to be developed...
