How do I create new predefined profiles for use in mechanically welded elements?
Hello
See the help page:

Welded Constructions - Create a Custom Profile
You can create your own welded construction profiles to use when creating welded members. You create the profile as a library function part, and then save it to a defined location for later selection.
Additional profiles are available in the Design Library tab . Under SOLIDWORKS Content
, in the Welded Constructions folder, objects to download the Ctrl files + click. zip
To create a welded construction profile:
- Open a new room.
- Sketch a profile. When creating a welded member using the profile, remember that:
- The origin of the sketch becomes the default meeting point.
- You can select any vertex or point in the sketch as the alternate meeting point.
- Close the sketch.
- In the FeatureManager authoring tree, select Sketch1.
- Click File > Save As.
- In the dialog box, do the following :
- In Save to, browse to the dossier_d'installation\lang\langue\weldment profiles and select (or create) the appropriate and <type> subfolders.<norme> Welded Constructs - File locations for custom profiles.
- Select Lib Feat Part (*.sldlfp) from the Type list .
- Type a File Name.
- Click Save.
The name you give to the library function part appears in the Size list of the Welded Element PropertyManager when you create a welded element. For example, if the profile name is 1x1x.125.sldlfp, then 1x1x.125 appears in the Size list . If you name the part big.sldlfp, then big appears in the Size list .
