SolidWorks Photoview Perspective "Depth"

Hello

Anyone know how to change the perspective "depth" in SolidWorks (for a Photoview rendering)?

We activate it in "Display > Show > Perspective", and I would like to change the vanishing point of the perspective.

Hello

Once the perspective is done on the screen, you have to go to the menu

View, Edit, Perspective...

Then just play around with the value as in the attached capture

Yes, indeed, in Photoview, you can adjust the focal length and depth of field.

It's like in photography, the same.

An 80mm focal length is the one that comes closest to the human eye (and therefore less distortion). A focal length close to 10mm produces distortions like an ultra-wide-angle lens could.

In terms of depth of field, the lower the number f, the shorter the depth of field (area of focus).

If you want a large sharp area, you will have to put an f value (aperture) between 11 and 16

If you want a short area of sharpness, you have to put a small value, like 1.8 (or less).

Obviously, the distance also has an influence on this depth of field....

well, it gets very technical...

@tomalam

Note that the link you published is a bit dated. The interface is outdated.

To be able to change perspectives, depths of field, etc., you now need to add a camera.

It is when you add this camera that you pass the parameters (see attached screenshot)
