Ownership of a part inserted into a room

In SolidWorks 2012,

In a mechanically welded part, I inserted H nuts to be welded.

The inserted nut (with part family: from M03 to M20) has its own configuration-specific properties (including the Description).

I can get the Description of the Component but not the Description specific to the configuration.

Is there a trick (yet when inserting the component I check Custom property)?

Is it a "bug"?

Does it work properly in SolidWorkes 2014?

Hello

This is one of the new features present in SW 2014.

I encountered the same problem, it's a limitation of the 2012 version, here is the answer my reseller gave me

The data retrieved from the welded parts list is the custom properties.
When inserting a part into another part, only the custom properties are carried over.

Starting with Solidworks 2013, the "Configuration-Specific" properties are also carried over.

To get around the problem, you can:
- use as many rooms as possible without using the configurations
- Create an assembly
- manually enter the plan number

By the way, Solidworks does what we ask of it: it retrieves custom properties and not specific properties.
