Custom Property

Hello, I don't know if my question will be clear to everyone but I'm currently setting up the custom properties tab. In my company the background plan already existed (coded)    

 

but it didn't have the custom properties tab ready, basically when you create parts you had to copy and paste properties from another part each time ... yuck, but they worked this way, so I create my custom properties pane but there are links that I can't seem to   bring up in the drop-down menu

For example for the thickness I can't find the link  (thickness) is there a way to create it (I don't want to lose the links of the documents that had already been created before .

RE, well in fact my problem is solved I don't know how but obviously I must have missed something in my links I started the manip again and now everything is running smoothly.
