I'm surprised I didn't find my answer on the forums (or I certainly looked badly). Is there a property with the file name and/or file type (e.g. Part.sldprt or assembly.sldasm)? I would just like to have the full path of the solidworks file so that I can open it from an Excel file (without going through a macro).

You can export the entire path in excel with the SmartBom tool from myCADtools.
From a windows folder or analysis of the structure of an assembly.

Thank you for your answers, I had already come across these articles. I think there is simply no basis in solidworks. Very strange or very marketing :-(
To have the path and name of a ready file open or all the components of an open asm, you can also do File / look for references / Copy the list and then paste this list into Excel.
