Part to Drawing Properties

Hello

In order to lighten the names of my parts on Solidworks PDM, I would like to name them by their plan number (e.g. 70353.SLDPRT). Until now, I have called them by their description (e.g. 70353 - CYLINDER SUPPORT. SLDPRT) and did the same for the drawing, the laser cutting DXF file and all other related documents. 

I would now like to have to write this information only once, in the DESIGNATION field of my custom property of the part file. 

Today, I can't retrieve in my SLDDRW drawing file, the value of the DESIGNATION field specific to the part used... and place it in the DESIGNATION field of my drawing.

I hope I've been clear enough...

You need to create a designation field in your drawing and point it to the part designation.

To complete the answer from Ac Cobra 427, you need to create a note in the basemap "$PRPSHEET:DESIGNATION". I don't know if it's possible to assign a part property to a drawing property.
