Which video animation software to use for Soldworks

Hello

I would like to make video animation with photo rendering same quality as on Photoview, for commercial type animations for our company.

Which animation software allows me to use SolidWorks type files with a good rendering result.

FYI. this software should allow me to do:

- Animation as realistic as possible.

- Allows me to obtain movement and deformation of matter (e.g. spring or crushing paste.)

- Compatible with SolidWorks type files.

Example of the type of video we would like to set up Follow the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GxF8jCPZU0

I know that this video is a mix between 3d and real video sequence but the idea is there.

Please tell me with this type of software I can get this result.

Hello

Try to see this post: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/cao/vitesse-capture-de-video-solidworks

See you

Thank you but the link you put me doesn't really help me.

I'm looking for a software to make video in photo rendered quality from 3d file from SolidWorks.

The link you send me sends me to video problems on the SolidWorks software.

The SolidWorks software does not allow you to make animations with photo quality.

Thank you anyway.

Hello

I'm not sure I understood correctly, you have SolidWorks and PhotoView?

If so, you can make animations with Animator and then save it in photoview quality.

I have SolidWorks and Photoviews.

Animator, I don't see what it is.

I managed to make animations using Solidworks and Photoviews.

But I'm limited, for example I can't simulate the deformation of the dough or distorted  "spring type" animation.

In addition, the Axemble group, which manages Solidworks in our country, tells us that Solidworks does not properly manage animations in photo rendering, it would not be designed for that.

They advise us to use another software and when I ask them what software they recommend they sent me to this forum to make up for my request and get an answer.

If you have made animations with Photoview you use Animator (the old name of the animation part).

Yes, obviously you can't see the dough deforming, but you can manage to display the undeformed dough and then a few seconds later the deformed paste.

After that, it's clear that at the level of ease and computation time, there must be much better software to do this, but I don't know the field of 3D animation.

Ok thank you.

It's clear that you can tinker with SolidWorks to have decent animations but it's no longer enough for my management who asks me to inquire about a real animation software.

So if anyone has any info. Thank you for transmitting.

Axemble refers you to the forum instead of giving you an answer?

There is indeed software on the Autodesk side but there to succeed in manipulating it.... it's really a know-how like manipulating Photoshop in professional mode....

Yes Axemble sent me back to the forum, they didn't know how to answer me or didn't want to answer me

Software raised for the moment:

- 3ds-max => (can it read SolidWorks format files?)

Otherwise for the use a training could be offered to me if necessary so do not hesitate to give me the name of the animation software, compatible with Solidworks type files preferably.

@Aurélien Fives  summed it all up, 3D animation is one job, design another.

Axemble I think only offers design software so it's not surprising that they review here to have the opinion of an expert animator.

Hello

Blender is a free 3D animation software that can be downloaded here:

https://www.blender.org/download/

It accepts the import of SolidWorks files, see here:

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/rendu-avec-blender-et-solidworks

For deformations of this type (deformation due to gravity), you will have to look for these options:

"Deformed Edit" on the Z axis while preserving the volume.

For an overview of the photo rendering of blender, see this short film:

3DS MAX: Does not bind native SolidWorks files.

You need to export your files. See this position: http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/3d/export-3ds

So according to the video there we can import SW:

And for Autodesk training, here's one of the resellers:

http://www.aricad.fr/

But again, to master a software of this type and reach the level you want, you need at least one week of training, or about 5000€...

Thank you I note for the moment 2 softwares:

- 3DS MAX => Convert SolidWorks files to 3DS MAX format for use.

- Blender => Accepts to import SolidWorks files

Small clarification, Blender does not accept native SolidWorks files, this is done through an import, see this tutorial:

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.4/Tutorials/Render/Import/SolidWorks

But it has the advantage of being free!

I don't think there are any animation software that accepts native SolidWorks files.

Hello,

I recommend Modo  with its solidworks kit.

Great 3d tool that I love.
