Which software for a 3D design of an optical part?

Hello

 

I want to design a magnifying glass with quite complex shapes. Is there software to model (or import from Solidworks for example) this part in order to check the optical characteristics (magnification, focal point, etc.) according to the geometry of the part?

For the 2D I know "Optgeo" but for the 3D, I hope someone can help me...

So it's not my field, but on wikipedia I found this

 

Some of the main optical design software include :

  • CODE V developed by Optical Research Associates
  • OpticStudio™ developed by the company Zemax;
  • OSLO designed by Lambda Research Corporation.

 

I don't know what they're worth, but I hope it can help you!

There is apparently a software integrated into SOLIDWORKS (an add-ins), it is called OptisWorks which is a Gold Product SOLIDWORKS software, here is a link on the SW site:
