Hello to you,

 

I'm on Solidworks 2013

 

Let me explain my problem, I have to make a home for a key.

 

Currently I draw the outline of it  with a little play and then I do the extrusion to insert the key into a block.

 

How could I save time if for example I have 20 keys all different?

 

Is there a function?

Look at the function configurations where you can set up dimensions or equations

For example: with key of 12 = housing of 16, key of 14 = housing of 18

If the same "support" contains keys of different sizes, you can possibly create an assembly of the components and then use a fingerprint function with a removal coeficient.

I did some research on my side and I found the stamped function.

 

Does it make me useful or not?

A priori no, because the stamping function is only applicable to sheet metal parts.

 

My solution of an assembly with an impression function does not suit you? If so, can you develop your request a little more?
