Hello, I have to choose a translation system as part of a project for my BTS training. So I had the idea of using a linear module but I saw that there were 3 types of training which are:
-By screw
-No toothed belt
-By rack and pinion
So I wondered what were the advantages and disadvantages of each ?

The choice of a linear module depends on the characteristics you want to give to the system
Those with screws give increased accuracy, very good repeatability and a correct speed but the distance is limited
With belt or rack, we have a lower precision, a correct repeatability with the belts but less good with a rack and pinion system, great distance with the belts and infinite with the rack.
