Question to Yves Boutherand

Hello

A few months ago, you asked your interlocutors on this site to give them an example of a configuration for a graphics workstation; What I'm interested in.

Also, if you would like to tell me for about 1000€ off-screen a list of equipment in line with these parameters  below, I thank you in advance.

I use Photoshop CS6 and lightroom4

OS: Windows Seven 64-bit

Good evening

He's very responsive by MP, so you might as well send him a :)

Question:

Why a workstation for named software (I use Photoshop CS6 and lightroom4)?

What are your CAD software?

What is your recurring work?

A fixed, portable station with a fixed top screen

see among others the link posted by @ Tomalam

@+ ;-)

for "photo editing" type software, CAD workstations are not mandatory.

the question is whether you use your station only for this purpose or whether you also use a CAD software.

That being said, Yves is also very knowledgeable in photography and will therefore also be able to guide you.

Hello

I'll take care of it very quickly :-) (i.e., before the end of the day)

So there you have it, for Toshop and for LR4 (or higher version), indeed, it is not necessary to have a CAD workstation. The cost of such a station would exceed your budget anyway (1600€)

I recommend this machine which will bring you appreciable working comfort.

I'm saying that, I'm not saying anything but for a graphic designer's machine, if I remember correctly, the configs under OSX (mac) are very much appreciated.

Today, although not approved by Apple (but nevertheless not uneven), it is possible to build a configuration worthy of a Mac Pro (or almost) with a rather weak bugdet.

If you're interested, just buy an OSX license and go to a few sites whose addresses I'll provide without any worries if interested, and select the components accordingly.

End of the Hs, good luck!

Edit: here are 2 links to illustrate my words, they are testimonials from pros who have taken the plunge:

Good evening

to be macuser all my graphic part is done on Mac

just for the record, even a second-hand Mac can surpass recent PCs simply because of the less greedy OS

for the price for strictly the same configuration, the Mac is cheaper because the OS is included. A Windows adds 150 to 500€ on a machine.

FYI MacBook Pros from 2011 are not recommended for overheating problem
