Question about CAD software

As part of a project I'm currently doing. I have to couple a CAD software to a program that I do in parallel.

To do this, I would need my CAD software, to design a geometry, to make the 3D mesh for me. So far, so good. (I do on abaqus but open to other options)

But also, that I can put a physical value in each stitch (put 1s or 2s or 0s). In principle, to be able to assign a value to a lattice.

The goal at the end is to retrieve a data file about the mesh and the physical variable associated with each mesh.

Do you have an idea or an option to propose to me so that I can move forward better.

Thank you in advance for your help

Hello @Clara

Very good question ;-)

I think everyone would be well advised to have a simple walkthrough

Good luck

Hello

Apparently, there's a library available in Python: http://130.149.89.49:2080/v6.7/books/cmd/default.htm?startat=pt01.html

I don't know if you know Python and if it meets your expectations.

Have a nice day.

Hello

What do you think of GrassHopper 3D which is ideal for parameterizing a lot of things including resistances, forces, etc...
In addition, it interfaces very much with Nurbs software such as Rhino.

We recently dealt with the subject of a winding staircase that uses GrassHopper in the primitive creation phase.

Kind regards
