Ram and Flow Simulation

Hello

I'd like to know if there is a way to set solidworks so that it also uses the disk in calculation on flow simulation.

Because indeed on some calculations we quickly reach saturation, and I find it strange that the PC does not use the disk to make a kind of buffer memory to free up RAM.

Is this possible?

Thank you

Hello

It's not possible to my knowledge.

Hello

As .PL said, Solidworks doesn't have a built-in option to do this.

It's the operating system that manages it on its own, when the ram is too full.

However, you can increase the size of the virtual memory on the local disk that serves as a buffer.

Here's how to increase it if you haven't already :

After modifying the configuration files of the Solidworks calculations, it may be possible. But this is almost reverse engineering, it's arduous and more or less forbidden if I don't say nonsense :o

Hello

Did you know that FlowSimulation can perform calculations using multiple PCs to have more resources?
