I'm asking you because I would like to draw a coin imprint (in a foam). So I designed my parts and now in a block (foam type) I want to make the design that allows to receive these parts. To be more precise, I want to draw the imprint that allows these parts to be stored, knowing that the imprint must perfectly fit the shape of the part. I thought of a particular extrusion (because I had already designed my parts) but I don't really know how to do it. Does anyone have an idea please?
to do this, you can use the borrowed function from Solidworks. You make an assembly with your part and your support that you want to "mold" then you edit the support in the assembly and you go to insert==> function then borrow and then you select your part to "mold" and that's it ^_^
