Faceted cone reconstruction

Hello

I have this developed faceted cone that I would like to reconstruct on SW2013 but I don't see how.

It's actually the tip of an rc plane see image

Could you point me in the right direction?

Thank you

diiity

Hello

You want to do it with the cone directly in 3D rather than flat, right?

Hello

A design proposal is included in the attached document.
Impossible to provide you with a SW2013 model, version that has disappeared...

Kind regards.

Hello @m.blt

Already thank you for the detailed method. So if your calculations are correct, each face of your final cone should be 57.39 long, right?

Hats off to Mr. Blt.

I also have SW2018 but my machine is a bit dragging.

On the other hand, to follow it's not easy.

So 1 question:

How did you determine the 38mm, 64mm and 8mm ribs ?

I reproduced but without knowing where these values come from and in my own way, which is certainly not the best.

To @diiity ...
In the attached document, some explanations on how to determine the "pilot" parameters of the surface model. The principle is an approach by successive trials, by iterations as the mathematicians would say ;o) , to make the final result coincide with the developed form given initially.
The result cannot be perfect since the initial dimensions are approximate, and the elliptical shape of the base is the result of a hypothesis.

At @Sylk ,
Since the base of the cone is an ellipse and its axis is offset, the generators are not all the same length. They vary from 53.05 mm for the bottom edge to 58 mm for the edges of the upper side.

Thanks again for your help.

The sketch comes from a plan originally in pdf that I opened in corel designate.

I then saved this drawing in dxf to import it into SW2013, then I did the dimensioning.

I attach the pdf as well as the photo of the finished plane before the decoration as well as the sketch.

Indeed the material used is a kind of reinforced depron 5mm thick
