Recover the category of a custom owned material?

I would like a custom property linked to the category of the material  to have in my documents a column Category   "Steel-stainless steel - aluminum" and a second column Material "S235-5086  - ... "

Hello, it doesn't seem to me that the "category" corresponds to a SW variable or property . The "Category" appears to be a simple subfolder of the materials library...

Good evening, it is possible to recover it by vba code. From memory, you have to retrieve the path to the library, search for the material in the sections of the xml file and go up through the sections until you have the classification.
