I want to retrieve the value of a custom Property of a material assigned to an SLW (2016) model in the value of a parameter of the same model.

What is the expression to use?

At first glance from SW2016 help: You can extract properties using API calls

So I think it's not directly accessible in property.

You have already created the material property, you will not be able to have two, there is only one possible material assigned to a part, otherwise you have to enter it by hand

This is possible with the myCADtools, SelectMaterials and SmartProperties tools make it possible.

In both tools when selecting a material, it is applied to the document and all the custom properties of the material are copied into the document properties.

I have made a request for improvement in this sense and the SPR 969590 has been created but for the moment there is no feedback on this subject. The advantage is that this demand for improvement is free from any use of third-party or development tools.
