Rename values in Publisher part family

Hello everyone,

Here's my little problem, I'm in the process of creating a library of standard components and to make things easier I want to use the configuration via Publisher.

in my example an M20 nut with a bore of 17.5 (thread or representation of thread suppressed)

all my dimensions (nut height, width, etc.) are linked to the drilling Ø which is parent.

Everything works but for the sake of clarity my nut choice drop-down menu shows me the drilling Ø (17.5) and I would like it to be 2 written M20 instead without losing the 17.5

Hello

Question Why use Publisher for nuts, you have a maximum of 10 refs. Personally I have a library with my 10 nuts, it's simpler and faster because when you put a nut or duplicate  it you don't have the sheet to fill in each time.

obi_wan-nut.sldprt

OBI WAN, you should move on to 2017 there are some nice new features in sheet metal in the 2017 and already bcp in 2016.

Hi @ac Cobra 427,

No I'm waiting for at least the SP3 to change.

Why, bad experience with SP1 & 2???

We can't read the images properly to really understand

They should be attached

Otherwise, if I understood correctly, the idea is to be able to play M5, M6, ... in the publisher Manager in the header

For me, a first solution is to create a config-specific property.

Example, "Description" and then integrate it into the part family.

You can then put the description in the header of Publisher

There I filled in a property for 3 element of the family of parts, Piece A, Piece B and Piece C

I was able to retrieve this property from the Publisher listings
