I want to use the solidworks rooting feature. I work mainly in PN16 bridle. I have a library with these flanges that I included in my design library. But when I start rooting, I can't get the pipes from the sketch, unlike when I use the solidworks basic library (which is in oil series) where it works well.
I use the iso 1127 tube, are my elbows not suitable? Or is there a particular manipulation?
Can joints be inserted between flange connections in the extension?
Are your flanges properly configured with the routing and termination points? (Are they the ones we see in the picture?)
If so, how is your routing set up at the start? (Choice of tube and elbows)
You can insert seals, just create them and add routing points), which will allow you to insert them just like any accessory such as a valve or check valve.
I had put the elbow and the tube from the same library, but without success.
I tried with another downloadable library in the solidworks content and there it works well!
On the other hand my problem now is that I don't know how to stick an elbow to the bridle. On all the tutorials, you slip a flange and you put the dimension with the sketch, but it regularly happens that it's stacking, and there solidworks doesn't accept zero values!
A little tip! Often SW doesn't accept negative values so you put 0.01 or less and miraculously it works because it tests the 0 but not the 0.001 which is a positive value CQFD ;-)
