Wire cross-sections on terminal block

Hello

In an electrical box, I can't differentiate the sections of the wires that start from a terminal block:

SW electrical seems to consider that all wires of the same equipotential have the same cross-section... which is quite problematic ...

Concretely, the only place I found to change the cross-section of a wire is:

- right-click on the thread

- property of the equipotential

- I fill in the "section or gauge" box

But on a terminal block (terminal block) I don't know how to define a wire in 6², another in 2.5², 1.5², etc. Because when I change a section, it changes it for all the wires of the same equipotential.

How do you do it in a case like that??

Or would you have to create an astronomical amount of cables in the cable manager???

Thank you very much!

Vincent

Captain Obvious, to the rescue!

I answer myself:

In fact, there are 2 sections for a wire:

- the equipotential section (#EQUIP_SEC)

- the section of the wire (#WIRE_SEC)

For the wire section:

- right-click on the thread

- yarn property => choose the yarn you want

- and there, we can change the cross-section of the wire and ONLY of this wire

Now, what can this notion of "equipotential section  " be used for??

Rq: I also saw that in

Project tab => configuration => "Project... " => "symbol" tab

You can edit the yarn label and the equipotential label: that's what put me on the track.

Hello

I would have logged in earlier, I could have helped you without any problem because I have already been confronted with this subject.

Sorry for the delay. However, I can still tell you what I know about it.

To display your wire section on your plan, doing it by the equipotential goes much faster, unless of course all your wires have a different cross-section. Also, on your terminal block, if you put a cable, the section that will appear will be that of your cable and not that of your wire, even if it has a different section.

Another problem you may encounter as well. If you want to display your section by the wire labels, you will have to pay attention to the wiring orders. If it's grayed out, it means there's a problem (e.g. 3 wires on the same terminal). Once you've done that, you'll be able to display your sections as you wish.
