Internal Component Selection

Hi all

Currently in solidworks training (2014), I am presented with the new features.

But for "the selection of internal components" I am not convinced by the explanation that the trainer gave us, nor by the title of the help.

Who could tell me more?

Thank you in advance.

See this link

you hover your mouse, click on your component, it will turn blue in the feature manager

If you know your component in your feature manager you click on it

Selection with the lasso?

Not especially in a lasso selection.

For example, I have an assembly, when I go to the selection tools, "selection of internal components", there is a selection that is made, to which I can't find any logic.

Hello

The function behaves as if there were 64 cameras all around the assembly, if a part is not seen by any of these cameras the part is considered internal.

The same principle applies when registering a part assembly with the external components option

In this case, is it possible to view the position of these 64 cameras.

But despite this, I think that the highlighted pieces should be visible to these cameras, in the attachments below

It is true that normally the parts that we see selected on your images should not be.

There's a wolf somewhere.

on another set does it do you too?
