Select a configuration in part insert mode on Solidworks

Hi all

 

I just created a stud with multiple configurations. In an assembly I can choose a particular configuration without any problems. Can we do the same thing when I'm in part mode and I do insert\part and then I choose my stud.

 

I can't find the solution if it exists.

Yes it is possible but not directly at the insertion (it inserts the active configuration).

In your part, insert the component you want without breaking the links, then right-click on the part in the tree, list the external references, and in the drop-down menu choose the configuration you want.
