Nonlinear simulation

Hi all

I am trying to understand how nonlinear calculus works, I already know the inerary calculus (for the moment we do our calculations this way).

Do you have any documents, books, or tutorials, etc... to advise me?

I saw that in the material we had to enter a "stress/deformation" curve, can we get these files (.dat)?.

Hello

If you are on SolidWorks (you didn't specify it) since the  2014 version you have access to the MatRéality database in the materials table in which materials with their curve are recoverable.

Hello

Thank you for your answer, yes we have solidworks 2013 sp5 we haven't yet moved into 2014 due to lack of time!!

Hello

Otherwise, you can make bilinear approximations if you don't have the exact curve of your material.

To do this, the inflection point of the curve is given by the elastic limit with a deformation of 0.2%. The end point is the breaking limit for the corresponding elongation of the material.

At least for metal materials, it gives good results.
