Xpress Simulation Not Working

Hi everyone.

Here I have a small problem with Solidworks, in fact I simply have the xpress simulation tab which is empty when I want to do a simulation with this tool (see the attachment). I saw that it could be caused by a KB30 update thingy, I have already looked in this direction and I don't have this update so my problem can't come from there.

I also tried to repair the installation of solidworks 2 or even 3 times by restarting my pc each time but it still doesn't work I don't know what to do anymore.

Thank you in advance for your help.

This is a known bug related to windows update.

You have to contact the hotline, or look on the internet, because I don't know the solution, but it exists.

Hello, I can't even activate it via the office products menu because it's grayed out. The only ones that are not are Photoview Toolbox and Solidworks Routing, the rest is grayed out.

Well, I'll keep looking and if I find an answer and a solution I'll come and share  it with you.

Simulation Xpress does not activate.

This is a basic function in Solidworks.

The problem comes from a Windows update, the bug is known, I can't find the article that talked about it, but the Solidowrks hotline must know about it.

Try to redo an installation and during this one if it is checked and there you can choose which add-in to install or not.

Yes it's installed I've already done this 3 times I think the problem comes from the fact that my computer is in windows 10 and that I have solidworks 2014 ... obviously the 2 are not compatible

Oh yes but now it's sure that it can't work. Solidworks is only compatible with Windows 10 from 2015 sp5...

However, the rest work, should I wait for a windows update to be able to hope to use this function? However, the 2013 and 2014 versions are still quite widespread so why did you make this choice? In the meantime I have no choice I will have to install solidworks on another PC just to do this simulation which also includes moving all my welded construction libraries I hope nothing will be lost along the way.

As soon as a solution is found on this problem I will come to the forum to share it in the meantime I still have some work to do:)

Have a good day to you.

That's it and well I have no choice I'm going to windows 7 64 bit version

The problem is solved.

the KB solution didn't work?

Hi, well no I still don't have a solution to my problem because it simply happens that I don't have this update . So I tried to switch to windows 7 but how to say windows 10 is not too willing to move to a later  version. I can't get this mess to work, so I tried with a virtual box (Oracle)  and there I manage to install windows 7 but my problem is that I feel that if I install solidworks on a virtual box it will lag to death. I must be in serious trouble.

If anyone knows someone who knows someone who could help me install this damn seven on windows 10 I thank them :)

Have a good day to you

Well and well after a few attempts it turns out that computers with a 7th generation processor are not compatible with windows 7 so here my hopes are reduced to nothing here I am forced to work on my laptop to do this simulation well well tampis at least I will know for next time  :)

Have a good day to you
