Hello
I want to renew my PC and therefore switch to Windows 10.
Is SOLIDWORKS 2010 compatible with Windows 10?
Otherwise how do I go to SOLIDWORKS 2016?
Kind regards

Hello
No, unfortunately Solidworks 2010 is not compatible with windows 10 :( [yet it ends the same but no..)

I invite you to look at this Cadware document to upgrade to the 2016 version:
http://www.cadware-utilities.fr/index.php/ressources/default/ShowInLine?file=notices/01-General/Installation_d_une_nouvelle_version_de_Solidworks.pdf
NO SW 2010 not compatible with windows 10
for SW 2016 license purchase
What do you have as a PC currently?
Hello
Here someone says that he installed SolidWorks 2011 on Windows 10 and that it worked:
"I just try to install SW2011 to Windows 10 and it works, but I am still not sure about reliability. Do anybody has more experience with this issue?"

I think you should test using Windows 10 software compatibility:

Why not renew the pc while staying under windows 7?
It is far from obsolete and still has a bright future ahead of it =)
It's still a shame to buy a PC at the end of 2016 with an OS released in 2009 that hasn't been updated since the beginning of 2015 (except for security flaws but only for the next 3 years):

In addition, knowing that there will be no Windows 11 so no new version of Windows to buy, it's a shame not to do it by buying your OS at a lower cost thanks to an OEM version:

Especially if in 2016 we are still using SolidWorks 2010...
Windows 10 is very stable I think, and the recent versions of Solidworks bring so many things that it would indeed be stupid to deprive yourself.
After that, of course, this has a cost that you have to amortize in software. But the time saving behind should not be neglected.
