Solidworks 2013

On solidworks, can we send a 2013 version file to a person who has a solidworks 2010?

Not directly in native Solidworks format.

you have to go through a parasolid export for the 3D and dxf for the 2D

There is no other solution than to send your files using neutral formats such as step or iges.

On the other hand, the parts are transformed into volume or surface bodies. The tree of realization is lost. In addition, in some cases, modifications are less easy.

Have a nice day.

Hello

you need to import the file in parasolid:

you have to register under

      You selection parasolid

Just below option you choose the version you want.

you can open an import of the functions

in general it works but it doesn't necessarily correspond to the original function but it facilitates the eventual modification

And yes the whole problem is there and it's good c... t

and that if you follow the updates and versions of SolidWorks

It is not possible to open future files in previous versions

which by definition forces the stakeholders in a certain way to buy the new version with each new version

The commercial fibre has taken over

@+ ;-(

Hello

They have  a little  improved  their  way of doing things   from  the 2012 SP5   version where  you can  open from the  2013.

but  it 's  still  e-drawing integrated into the solidworks interface ... not very practical.... and only  feasible with consecutive versions
