[SolidWorks] Fast Slicing for 3D Printing

Hi all!

My little project (Potez 60 radio controlled) is progressing well! And I invested in a 3D printer

Since I have a lot of large parts, I have to print in several times, in SW, I have to cut manually, creating 4 surfaces (which in the end form a cube the max size of my 3D printer, 220x220x250), then I cut, I glue etc..... But I'm going to have to repeat this operation many times (and even for future projects anyway), and I'm wondering how to make it easier and faster! For example, in my assembly, I will create a 220x220x250 cube that I will place in the desired place of my print and I will be able to extract directly the part I want to print, without much manipulation

Here, for example, I would like to quickly cut the piece in yellow according to my "cube" piece

Does anyone have an idea please? :)

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Quick question, why not raise the cube to print as much of the part as possible in yellow? To answer the question I will make several configurations of the part depending on what you can or want to print via the material removals so 4 configurations, the central part, the side part which will have to be printed twice and the upper part and the whole part to keep it in the assembly.

Hello!

Don't take into account the screen, I placed the cube quickly just for the example ;-)

Otherwise, do you advise me to draw my piece thinking in advance about the parts I want to print? Thank you for your advice but I would like to find it simpler:)

No, you've already drawn your parts, you just have to "cut" them so that you can print them and re-assemble them afterwards...

Okay thanks, I thought there was a quicker way:)
