Hello everyone.
I would like to know your feedback on the use of SW in the field of layout please.
On projects with curved and curved shapes, I have no doubt that on a subwoofer it works !
Benches, panel and/or lath wall coverings, reception desks...
In particular, with the use of Efficad's SWood extension.
Question about the positioning of the different elements (furniture, pedestal, etc.) in relation to each other.
Thank you for your feedback and have a good day,
Johann
Hello @Johann
From my point of view, Swood has the big advantage of being a "business software" very suitable for wood with a lot of features that would be unmanageable under SW (example the automatic laying of fields).
Swood or Swood because there is Swood and Swood design which has complementary features (https://www.visiativ-solutions.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/SWOOD_Designfr.pdf).
Swood is very good for anything that is parallelepiped, rectangle, but for shapes with large radii, it's better to go through solidworks.
I have one of my clients who is in the event industry and who uses Rhino for shapes that are not easy to make in surface (portion of sphere, curved shapes and curves) and then he imports them back into Solidworks in STEP. From these shapes he completes the chords and interior shapes with SW.
Why not ask Visiativ (https://www.visiativ-solutions.fr/swood/) for a demo with your curved and curved pieces. They will show you what is possible and what is not possible.
Kind regards
