Solidworks Problem Creating Symmetry

Hello

When creating a symmetric component in solidworks 2016, I encounter a problem.

The component created is not a symmetry but rather a linear repetition of the original component (I attach an ecan screenshot illustrating my problem, we notice that the angle at the bottom of the part has not been balanced but simply recreated in the same original position)

I hope I have clearly stated my concern.

Thank you in advance for your help

You have to press the little blue "next" arrow rather than immediately validating the function

You will then have access to other options

To have a true symmetry you have to click on create the symmetrical version.

Well done;)

@Bart Click on a face and then on the symmetrical part function it works too but you have to manage it in the components and part numbers afterwards (it can potentially annoy it :p)
