Solidworks very slow when zooming / screen flickering / black bar on screen

Hello

We have a Dell Precision 3530 computer (i7 + 16GB + Quadro P600) that has problems with slow display that just makes work impossible.

Here are the different problems:
- 10 sec delay between clicking on the zoom and zoomed in display (on a small 2D plane).
- Screen that flickers according to certain actions (random).
- Black rectangles also appear intermittently.

It's undeniably a display problem but after trying a lot of things while browsing the forums, I still can't find the solution.

Do you have an idea please?

Thank you,
Kind regards.

Hello

Wouldn't there have been an update to the graphics card driver? The driver certified by SW is not necessarily the last driver available for the graphics card, I myself was forced to go back to a driver (for another card) to find a better functioning following an update.

Kind regards

Hello

I'm thinking like d.roger about an update of the graphics card. Look to see if you have a Windows restore point before this "if there was one" update.

Kind regards

Hello
Be careful to make your settings from the NVIDIA settings window.
Otherwise, you're with the motherboard's base graphics card instead of the P600

A small addition to the remark of @AC Cobra 427, it is not necessarily necessary or useful to go back to a restore point to find an earlier version of driver.

Hello;

Well so there you go, we tried all the possibilities mentioned here, (driver --> previous or more recent version makes no difference) however if you open a drawing that is stored locally on the Pc (so not on PDM) no problem, everything is fluid and nothing crashes.   But as soon as  you open a drawing stored on PDM, the RAM memory saturates and goes up to the maximum (16 Gb) which forces the closure of Solidworks. However, on the other PCs (which are identical models to this one and same version of windows 10) no problem is reported!

My best regards.

Hello

Have you tested the network socket, maybe another connection or a network modification.

OK, so it's PDM that's the problem.
You say "open a drawing", is the problem specific to slddrw files or general to all SW files?
