Hello

Using the SolidWorks simulation tool, I would like to know the number of maximum nodes I can use (without my PC crashing)

I carry out studies with 300,000 nodes (so 900,000equations). It seems to me that the number of connections/imposed displacements/external loads has a lot of influence on the time it takes to solve the study.

My PC configuration: 16GB Ram - 3.10GHz processor

I don't think there is a maximum ceiling on the number of nodes at the level of the software, it's mainly your machine that will be limiting. But with your config it should pass but you have to be patient!

Start by making a model that rotates with a coarse mesh and run your calculation on your 300,000 knots tonight before you go!
