Solder 2 pieces to make one

Hello

I have 2 different parts that I would like to weld to make a second part and not an assembly.

This part is intended to be 3D printed.

I have already tried it as a simple assembly composed of 2 pieces by cheating on the ribs believing that they would be joined together but it didn't work.

What would be the solution?

Hello

Look normally my tutorial should be able  to help you with the combine function.

Are the 2 pieces in 2 independent prt files?
If so, you can import them into a 3rd part file (insert/part). You can then add material where necessary to be able to merge the 2 bodies.

Hello

If your 2 parts are in an assembly, you can save it as a part (.sldprt).

Kind regards

Hello

Thank you 3.

It works with the tutorial of  ac cobra 427 and  stefbeno.

jmsavoyat, it doesn't work with 3D printing, which I mentioned above.

It's hard to say which is the best answer.

Hello @ diiity

You can post an image of your part to print it, I don't see why it wouldn't work for 3D printing.

Kind regards

Whatever the method, if there is a game somewhere, it will have to be filled in with a material addition function.

I attach you as a zip file, 2 screenshots, one is the one of the assembly saved as a part, the other is the one saved as attach.

We can clearly see the parting line that prevents the welding of the stl while the other one goes well
