Subtract 2 parts from an assembly

Hi all.

I need your help because I have a memory lapse
I want to subtract in my assembly .
Piece 1 goes into room 2 and I would like to have the shape of the notch piece 2 on room 1

I know how to combine and subtract when I'm on a part with the volume bodies, but what about in an assembly?

Thank you in advance for your help!!
PIECE_2.STEP (4.4 KB)
PIECE_01.STEP (4.4 KB)

Hello @KhAmCoM,
Your steps files don't have a volume, but I can still answer your question.
Create a part and add the components you want to combine, with the insert-> part function (if necessary, transform your steps into a front part).
Arrange the pieces according to your need, then select insert → function → combine.
Select both parts and then subtract it.
Have a nice day

Thank you for taking the time to answer me but is it possible in an assembly?

Hello

For me no, because in an assembly only these functions are available:

On the other hand, it is possible to do Boolean operations in your part as said above (but suddenly your part does not update if you decide to change a component of the assembly, which seems to me to be your desire).

Hello

You have to edit the part to be modified and use the impression function

Kind regards
