Stability of SW2022 SP2.0?

Hello

I have finished migrating my workstation fleet to the 2022 version of SW+PDM. (PC formatted, same config as before on a clean base).

We have between 1 and 3 crashes per day on all the resorts (there are a good dozen). Sometimes we find ourselves on the desk when we simply put a dimension on a simple sketch in a simple room.

It reminds me of SW2017 which crashed all the time, I had migrated everything to SW2019 at the time and we had a few crashes on big operations but it was quite rare all the same.

Are we going to spend 1 year with a software that crashes non-stop?

SW2022 Customer: Have you also noticed stability issues with SW2022 too?

Also note, the PDM add-in can lead to systematic crashes at extraction. It's a shame that we have to open a ticket only to learn that it's a known bug that has a solution. We would have preferred to receive an e-mail: "Warning, bug detected in the PDM add-in, click here to fix it"

A positive note: PDM seems much faster and more stable! There was a need for it, which is appreciable.

See you soon!

on our side, SW 2017 in SP 5 doesn't crash too much except on some drawings, that's its big weak point.

We will install in a few days sw 2022, directly the SP2 but given your problems... I wonder if it's worth it

In general it is strongly advised to wait at least for SP3, for my part I wait for SP4 and before I take the temperature via the hotline and the forum.

I was considering the 2022 to gain performance (if that's really the case) but if it's to lose stability, I'm less sure. I'm going to stay a little longer with the 2020, so far ultra stable (at least for the use I have of it).

Never use anything other than SP5 in production (or even SP5.1 or 5.2 nowadays...).

Update to Sp5 as soon as possible

Basically, SW releases are betas, customers are betaesters.

And if no one installs the SP<5 then we will have to wait for the SP5+x with x>5 to have a stable version.

Sad...
(And I must be the only nigo to test this version because even in SP2 there are big bugs easily reproducible on basic functions...)

And at the same time@allouche.r. if no one wants their revisions <5, it may be up to Dassault to ask itself the right questions...

On our side, 2021 Sp5.1, deployed about 2 months ago, 2015 before, and we also see an increase in crashes, in the same proportion (between 1 and 3 per day on average, compared to almost none (1 or 2 per month) in 2015.

However, we chose to switch to the 2021 rather than the 2022 precisely because the SP5 was available right away...

Thanks again to all those who have the courage to use the first SPs, to allow us to work on stable SP5s:)

I would have liked to answer "with pleasure" but here in our design office we are starting to be very annoyed.
In addition to repeated crashes, it is also and above all necessary to take the time to report the problems.
For example, I took the time to write a ticket to point out that the Parasolid X_T/X_B export no longer works... That's crazy!
Also in PDM there is a bug in the handling of columns on Extract/Archive operations.
Smart-Mates are completely stuttered (just doesn't work)
It happens (and it was already the case before) that a shot "turns" on itself by 90°... Strange for a shot, it's as if it had a polar orientation... And naturally, when it happens all the sketching entities turn with it...
Come on, I'll stop here and go back to work;)

Thank you for the observation @allouche.r , I who regularly use the parasolid export, you cooled me down :S
