Why when I open a file Step SW opens me piece by piece. If my assembly is 1000 pieces it opens everything. knowing that interconnect is ticked.

Create an assembly file and insert your step. See what it does.
If it's just to view or encrypt a file, that may be enough.

I also had that not long ago. At home it was the links in the file locations that had jumped into system options and default templates. At home it came from a modification of the servers...
What do you have as an import option?
General Import Options:
Import step options (see if imported multiple bodies in parts is not checked)
