Hello
1°/ On a drawing, I can't get my new Line Style (AXES2 ) of the centering axes and construction lines. The default Line Style appears.
I did create a new Line Style (AXES2 ), which I assigned to my M-AXE layer.
In the Document Properties - Construction Lines/Centering Axes, my M-AXE layer is selected.
How do I get my new Line Style to apply to my Centering Axes and Construction Lines?
I am enclosing my file.
2°/ Still on a drawing, when I insert a Balloon, and I enter the Parameters: Circle / User-defined routing, my line does not touch the circle. Is it a SolidWorks bug? Is it possible to retrieve the SolidWorks balloon block and modify it to make the stroke and circle coincide?
Thanks in advance,
Mylène Venet

1°/ when opening the plan, and having no selection, I have the "Layer" toolbar with "According to the standard"
When I create an axis, it fits nicely in the right layer, and also takes the color (pink)
Then if it's to transfer the ones already present on a plane, you have to select them all, and assign them the new layer.
To check also on each pc independently, the "default" of the "Line Color" tool, if it has a "chosen" color, the layer rule will not work.
2°/ by setting the width of the speech bubble to x characters, the stroke is connected, it's by passing it to "defined" that it makes a shift.
It should be reported as a "bug" to the hotline, so that it can be reported to SW.

Hello
Point 1: it works like it should when I put axes, these go directly into the right layer.
Point 2: Change the user-defined bubble size by another choice, on the image above the bottom bubble is on 2 characters for example.
Kind regards

Hello
1°/ In the layer properties, my new line style (AXES2 ) is selected in my M-AXE layer (see image - left part).
However, when I insert a new axis, it inserts the axis with the old line style (Mixed ).
2°/ My goal is to have a bubble, in the shape of a circle and with a diameter of 8mm (usually with 2 or 3 characters).
In Options / Document Properties / Annotations / Bubbles, I have Single Bubble: Circle / Custom Size 8.0000mm / Padding 0.0000mm.
When inserting a speech bubble, with "X characters", my speech bubble is never 8mm (see image - right part).
For 2 characters: 8.9mm bubble. For 3 characters: 12.5mm bubble.
Kind regards

Hello
Agree with gt22 , now if the dimension of the bubble at 8mm is so important, you can either have the arrow line that doesn't touch the bubble (problem you point out) or play with the height of the font, it seems to me that 2 characters with a font size of 2.6mm should bring you very close to a bubble at 8mm, to be checked.

Thank you for your answers.
1°/ For the axis, I still haven't solved my problem: I still get my old line style when I insert a new Centering axis.
2°/ For the bubble, I'm going to stay on the "2 characters" parameter, the diameter is close to 8mm. And the stroke will coincide with the circle.
Kind regards

Implementing Document Layer Defaults You can apply document level layer settings to each dimension, annotation, table, and label type in the detail view.
Create the layers for a drawing in SolidWorks.
Click Options (Standard toolbar).
Select a detail, such as Dimensions > Chamfer , on the Document Properties tab .
Under Layer, select a layer for detail. Assign layers to other details as needed by selecting them from the left navigation tree of the Document Properties tab .
Click OK.
Select As Standard from the Layer selection list (Layer toolbar ).
The Layer picklist includes all the layers you create, as well as the None, Standard , and Format options .

Hello
On the plan you sent in your question, by adding views of a part, the Centering Axes and the construction lines created by the tools:
go right into the layer named "M_AXE".
For solid or construction lines created by the tool:
these go to the active layer at the time the function is called, or to -none- if it is "According to Standard" that is active in the layer list.
Test result:
And it seems to me that it's not possible in Solidworks to set a default layer for lines created using the tool .
I'm on SW2017.
Kind regards

Hello everyone ,
Thank you for your answers, but I can't find the solution to my problem.
I have:
- Document Properties> Line Style> AXES2 (Appearance Code: A,1.5,-0.25,0.25,-0.25)
- Document Properties> Construction Lines/Centering Axes > M-AXE Layers
- M-AXE layers > Style AXES2
All settings are OK.
But when I insert a Centering Axis (with the Centering Axis tool), it's not my AXES2 style that's drawn but the MIXED style.
AXES2: A,1.5,-0.25,0.25,-0.25
MIXED: A,1.25,-0.25,0.25,-0.25
Why is my AXES2 style not being considered?
Kind regards

Good morning, sir. I have the same problem and it's really a headache, it's also impossible to assign the axis strokes to a shot automatically. Have you found the solution? Thank you in advance Kind regards
