Hello community.
Question to the plastics manufacturer.
What can replace the PA 6.6 50GF with, taking into account the following indications:
- Existing plastic injection tooling
- Similar mechanical characteristics
- similar withdrawal
- Similar or lower cost
Thank you for your help.
CDT.
Cédric.

Hello
I'm a rheologist by trade, I think I can help...
What is the exact grade of PA 66 50%FV used (trade name)?
There can be big differences between 2 grades.
In addition, what is the size of the part and its tolerances, its application, its constraints (resistance to hydrolysis, UV, hydrocarbon,... etc) that you absolutely need to know before any change of material.
With these elements I will find you a replacement!

I enclose a quick comparison of 3 technical subjects that can meet your needs;
a polyamide 50%FV, a polyphenylene sulfide and a polyarylamide. I can send you the subject sheets if necessary.
Prices are indicative according to your order volumes.
In any case, I advise you to do an injection test before validating the sizing of your parts.
