Constraint tracking between two levels

Hello

The structure of my construction is as follows:

Assembly

- Subassembly1 (flexible)

    - Exhibit SA1

- Subassembly2

- Exhibit A1

- RoomA2

-etc

In the assembly I put a constraint between part A1 (1st level) and part SA1 (2nd level) to reposition SA1 in relation to part A1.

In the assembly, part SA1 is positioned correctly according to the constraint, but not in the subassembly1 file.

How do I get the new position reflected in the subassembly file1?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Why not constrain directly in the file under assembly1?

Then do the final assembly

Can attach the assembly?

try to put everything at the first level

I think it will be + simple

This is the principle of flexible asm. it eventually allows you to have 2 times the SE1 in different positions.

I'm new to the site, I don't know if it's okay to answer.

My answer is addressed to Bart:

The SA1 part must remain there, it is a welded component in sub-assembly 1.

Part A1 is in the final assembly (assembly of welded subassemblies and independent parts) and must remain there, it is an assembled component that is itself positioned in relation to a part of the subassembly2.

Hello

Make configuration of the position of your assembly. One configuration per position.

in Stefbeno :

I have to deduce that it is therefore impossible?

Moreover, when I go down into the SA1 to constrain the part at  this level by copying the dimensions taken in the assembly (since there the part is in the right position) SW replies "this constraint cannot be solved".

Solution:

- Insert the SA1 part into the assembly

- set the constraints to position

- lower the SA1 part into the correct subassembly: simply slide into the shaft

It's working
